K.C. Emmons is a children’s book author with an endless passion for creativity, and adventure.
His early childhood revolved around building tree forts and playing video games, but as life went on,
he would go on to try skydiving, scuba-diving, and nearly everything in between.
Writing, however, was never really part of his plan. With a mind full of ideas and no formal training,
his creativity seemed to find their limits in RPG’s and artistic doodles.
It wasn’t until his daughters came along that all of it would change.
One night, during bedtime stories, he decided to try something new, and began making up a tale on the fly.
It was an instant hit! Every night they demanded to hear new adventures, and he was happy to oblige.
Then, one evening, his eldest said to him,“Daddy, these stories are really good.
You should write them down.” And those eleven simple words would ignite the proverbial spark.
That night, he turned on his computer, and by the following morning,
Ethan & Emily’s Storybook Adventures had been born,
and a whole new series of adventures was about to begin.
He hopes you like them…
Gustavo Berardo is a freelance illustrator and comic artist from Argentina with more than 25 years of experience.
Movie lover and avid reading, drawing was always his passion since childhood.
He studied at the School of Fine Arts Manuel Belgrano in Buenos Aires, and although he did not finish his studies,
he was able to take his first steps as a professional illustrator in
an advertising agency of Bahia Blanca, Buenos Aires.
Then he moved to Mendoza, Argentina, where he began working as an illustrator
for the children’s supplement of a local newspaper.
Later he started working as a freelance illustrator for various publishers from several countries,
dedicated to children publishing, educational books, story books and comics.
His diversity of styles has allowed him to guide their work for both children and adults.
He currently lives with his family in Mendoza, Argentina, and is still drawing with the same passion as always.
Dear Reader,
Welcome, and thank you for stopping by. It truly means a lot to me that you’re here!
Looking back on this project, and all the incredible people who helped shape it into what you see today, I can’t help but feel both humbled and proud. What began with a Word document and a dream, has grown into something far greater than I ever expected, and I wouldn’t be where I am without the skills and efforts of this team of dedicated professionals.
So, without further preamble, I’d like to extend my gratitude to the following individuals:
• Taylor Morris Visit Site My editor — who graciously highlighted a few of my writing quirks (namely, my overuse of ellipses) and always gives me back a better manuscript than I give to her. I’m learning, Taylor… slowly. 😉
• Jennifer Ashley of Creative Dezines Graphic Creations Visit Site My graphic designer and longtime friend – my rock,
my cheering squad, and, occasionally, my unofficial therapist. Lol You’re the best!
• Gustavo Berardo Visit Site My artist — who turns my vague descriptions and stick-figure sketches into stunning illustrations that captured everything I had in mind and often exceeded my expectations. You never fail to amaze me!
• Simply Effective Web Design Visit Site My web designer and marketing advisor — where I stumble with tech, they go above and beyond. Their skills and creativity were pivotal in bringing this website to life on short notice!
To each of you: Thank you! I’m truly grateful for your time, your talent, and your belief in this project.
And to everyone else who played a part — whether big or small —
thank you for your feedback, your encouragement, and your friendship along the way.
I couldn’t have done this without you!
